Biografie Liesbeth Wildschut
Liesbeth Wildschut volgde de dansvakopleiding in Tilburg (thans Fontys). Aan de Universiteit Utrecht studeerde zij Theaterwetenschap. Sindsdien is zij aan deze universiteit werkzaam als docent en onderzoeker op het gebied dans bij de opleiding Theater-, Film- en Televisiewetenschap. Zij promoveerde in 2003 op een onderzoek naar de emotionele beleving van kinderen, kijkend naar een dansvoorstelling. Haar onderzoek richt zich voornamelijk op de ervaringen van toeschouwers, kijkend naar dans, waarbij de fysieke betrokkenheid (kinesthetisch invoelen) de meeste aandacht krijgt. In het onderwijs richt zij zich meer en meer op de ontwikkeling van dansdramaturgie binnen het curriculum. Onlangs verscheen in het boek Contemporary Choreography. A Critical Reader haar hoofdstuk ‘Reinforcement for the choreographer: the dance dramaturge as ally’. Zij is tevens voorzitter van de Vereniging voor Dansonderzoek.

Biography Liesbeth Wildschut
Liesbeth Wildschut was educated at the Tilburg Dansacademie (now Fontys). At Utrecht University she studied Theatre Studies. Since then she is assistant professor in dance at Utrecht University, department Theatre, Film and Television studies. The topic of her PhD was emotional involvement of children looking at a dance performance. In her research she focuses on audience experiences while looking at dance, especially physical involvement (kinesthetic empathy). In her teaching she is more and more involved in the development of dance dramaturgy in the curriculum. In the recently published book Contemporary Choreography. A Critical Reader she wrote the chapter ‘Reinforcement for the choreographer: the dance dramaturge as ally’. She also is chair of the Dutch Society for Dance Research.
